Connect Buzzsprout to AI assistants
Want to explore your podcast data with an AI assistant? You can connect your Buzzsprout account to ask questions about your podcasts, episodes, and downloads.
Buzzsprout works with AI assistants that support remote MCP servers. The connection is read-only, so your assistant can help you explore your podcast data without making changes to your Buzzsprout account. Your assistant cannot create, edit, publish, rename, or delete episodes.
How do I connect Buzzsprout?
Getting connected only takes a few steps:
- In your AI assistant, find the option to add a remote MCP server.
- Enter https://www.buzzsprout.com/mcp.
- Sign in to Buzzsprout and approve access.
That's it! Your AI assistant will only have access to podcasts that you already have permission to view.
What can I ask my AI assistant?
Your AI assistant can help you explore your podcast data. Try asking questions like:
- "Which podcasts can I access?"
- "What are my latest episodes?"
- "How many downloads did my podcast get last month?"
- "Compare downloads for these episodes."
Feel free to experiment with your own questions, too!
Your AI assistant can't create, edit, publish, rename, or delete episodes or make changes to your plan, billing, or payment information.
What should I know about my podcast data?
There are a few things to keep in mind when asking questions about your podcast:
- Buzzsprout reports downloads, not unique listeners or retention. Learn more about how downloads are measured.
- Download date ranges include both the start and end dates and use your podcast's time zone.
- Episode lists may include private, scheduled, inactive, premium, or processing episodes.
- Episodes with no downloads during your selected date range may not appear in episode-level download results.
- Seeing no episodes or 0 downloads can be a normal result and doesn't necessarily mean something went wrong.
How do I disconnect my AI assistant?
Your AI assistant only has access to podcast data that your Buzzsprout account already has permission to view. You can disconnect the integration at any time.
